Category: Music & Theatre Dates: Wednesday, 09 January 2013 to Sunday, 20 January 2013 The Theatre des Marionnettes de Geneve is hosting a new show called James Bond ... Discontinued in January 2013, which presents a skewed look at one of the most famous characters in Western pop culture. Written, directed and performed by Denis Athimon, the show examines an alternate version of Bond who is disillusioned, filled with anxieties and coming to the end of his shelf life. Intended as a thought-provoking deconstruction of an icon, the performance coincides perfectly with the 50th anniversary of the first 007 movie Dr No, as well as the recent release of the latest Bond blockbuster Skyfall. The hour-long show runs from January 9th to 20th 2013 and will commence at 19:00 local time on most days, with Sunday performances taking place at 17:00. Book a Winter Festive Season package at The Hotel d'Angleterre to enjoy a range of perks and extras, including a buffet breakfast, fresh fruit and mineral water in the room and a complimentary daily newspaper.
