Category: Music & Theatre Dates: Friday, 22 March 2013 to Saturday, 23 March 2013 The Grand Theatre de Geneve will be the venue for a large-scale performance of Sergei Prokofiev's Ivan the Terrible on March 22nd and 23rd 2013. Performed by Musique Municipale de la Ville de Geneve to mark the organisation's 150th anniversary, the show will see more than 300 singers and 80 musicians coming together in a spectacular musical event. The performance brings together music, text and visual imagery, including footage from the acclaimed Sergei Eisenstein's film about Ivan the Terrible and poetry from the renowned Vladimir Lugovskoy. Audiences can see the show from 20:30 local time on each of the two nights, with the performance lasting approximately an hour and a half.
