Fete de la Vendange - Harvest Festival in Geneva

Events: Fete de la Vendange - Harvest Festival in Geneva
Dates: September 20th until 21st 2008

A popular Harvest Festival that dates back to the sixties is set to take place once more in Geneva this autumn.

Fete de la Vendage will be held from September 20th until September 21st in the wine village of Russin, not far from Lake Geneva, upon the shores of which lies the luxury Geneva hotel Hotel d'Angleterre.

The festival is designed to kick off the Geneva grape harvest season and will offer guests staying at luxury Geneva hotel Hotel d'Angleterre a real glimpse into country life in Geneva.

Events will include wine tasting, live music and parades while snacks and souvenirs can be purchased at food stands and special markets.

A trip to Russin for the Harvest Festival could be part of a Classic Weekend in Geneva for those staying at luxury Geneva hotel Hotel d'Angleterre. As part of the Classic Weekend package, travellers can fill up on a buffet breakfast at the hotel before setting out to Russin for the festivities.

The annual weekend event sees 15,000 local and international visitors travel to the village, a place with a usual population of 400 people, all in celebration of Geneva's winemaking and local food and crafts.
