Event: Beta Version
Date: October 31st – December 14th
The biennial Beta Version show will see various artists display new media and artwork along an experimentation theme.
Geneva's Centre for Contemporary Images will host the event, which will see interactive and sometimes experimental works being shown.
A variety of formats of art will be seen, including installations, films and live performances.
Workshops will be on offer for visitors who want to get more involved, with forums also occurring - to allow people to discuss the work being shown.
One documentary film on display will detail performances from artists and scientists in 1966 in a ten-part series.
Also at the event will be the official awarding of the Migros Pour-cent culturel, to honour the promotion of digital culture.
This will take place on the evening of November 1st and will be preceded by a screening of Lutz Dammbeck's film Das Netz.
Other sideline events will take place at Geneva's University of Art and Design.
Also taking place in the city in November is the International Christmas Market, where visitors can get in the festive spirit and stock up on presents.
Those wanting to make a weekend of it and sample more of the city can stay at the luxury Hotel d'Angleterre and choose the Cultural Geneva package.
It offers entry to two museums and a book about the city.
