Music fans are sure to head to Geneva this summer for the Festiverbant gathering, which combines a lazy afternoon picnic with live performances.

The open air event is held in Landecy in the countryside, with local rock bands set to entertain attendees.

A full buffet will be on offer for those who want to buy food there, but visitors can also bring their own spread.

The event is also free to attend, meaning more money can be spent on the all-important picnic.

Organisers say the event is a very laid back one, which will suit all the family and not just hardcore rock fans.

Some of the bands set to play at Festiverbant this year are Urban Blues Section, Backstroke Blues Band, Titanic Reloaded, Léo and Cachasamba.

After a hard day lazing in the park, rock fans can stay at the d'Angleterre hotel and choose the Cultural Geneva package.

It gives guests a buffet breakfast, entries to Geneva museums and book about the area, meaning they can explore the culture of it at ease.
