Visit Reformation Wall at Bastions Park

Event: Visit Reformation Wall
Date: All year

Bastions Park is buzzing with activity all day every day, with students gathering to spend time together and families with young children giving them some fresh air.

It is also home to one of the most significant landmarks in Geneva, the Reformation Wall, which pays tribute to the founders of the Reformation.

Work began on the wall back in 1909 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the birth of Jean Calvin and the 350th of the foundation of the Academy of Geneva, which Calvin founded for clergymen.

The most striking elements of Reformation Wall are the five metre-high statues of the four great figures of the movement - Guillaume Farel, Jean Calvin, Theodore de Beze and John Knox.

For those keen to learn about Geneva's history and culture, the wall is a must see.

The luxury Geneva hotel the Hotel d'Angleterre can also help visitors explore the city through the Cultural Geneva package.

Guests are treated to a buffet breakfast, entry to two museums and a beautiful book of Geneva to take home.
