Event: Visit the Patek Philippe Museum
Date: All year
Time is precious and nowhere is this principle more treasured than at the Patek Phillipe Museum, one of the Geneva's most interesting attractions and a must see for horology fans.
In 1839, Antoine Norbert de Patek, a salesman, and watchmaker François Czapek joined forces to found Patek, Czapek and Cie.
Some 12 years later, Frenchman Adrien Phillippe, who had wowed Mr Patek with his stem winding and setting system some six years earlier in Paris, joined the company and helped turn it into one of the most famous and prestigious watchmakers in the world.
Their creations are now housed in the special Patek Phillipe Museum, where guests at the luxury Geneva hotel the Hotel d'Angleterre can see how a passion for timepieces has brought together a wonderful collection of watches and timepiece memorabilia.
With four floors of treasures, horology lovers will be in their element.
When the time comes to leave, visitors will not have to travel far to enjoy the delights of the Luxury Weekend Break package, as the d'Angleterre is only a six minute journey from the museum.
Guests can look forward to in-room Champagne, a four-course dinner in the Windows Restaurant and a buffet breakfast the following morning.
