Back in 1978, Swiss political journalist Max Amman came to the conclusion that showjumping was not held in high enough esteem by those in the sporting world and took it upon himself to change this.

More than three decades later, the Rolex FEI World Cup is one of the most high-profile events in the sporting calendar, with the most beautiful horses and talented riders putting on performances of breathtaking grace and skill.

Events take place around the world but the final of the competition is held in Geneva, meaning guests at the luxury Geneva hotel the Hotel d'Angleterre can see the cream of the crop do what they do best.
