Geneva Book Fair at the Palexpo

The Geneva Book Fair is the largest cultural and educational gathering in the Swiss calendar and a must see for those who enjoy nothing more than losing themselves in the pages of a gripping novel.

Since 1987, the event has drawn visitors from far and wide to the city to see a wide range of literature from across the globe.

Now in its 24th year, the festival promises to be bigger and better than ever, with both local and international exhibitors displaying rare and wonderful books for fans to enjoy.

Sweden is the country of focus for 2010, with various exhibitions related to Swedish literary figures taking place, as well as a special showcase of the latest works from Swiss painter Felix Vallotton.

Many book fans will have visited the fair before and a large majority will have stayed at the luxury Geneva hotel the Hotel d'Angleterre during their time in the city.
