Enjoy Chinese Ceramics at the Foundation Baur

The Far East has given the world some of the finest examples of art and crafts and inspired many artists across the globe.

One of the biggest collections of Far Eastern art can be found in Geneva's Foundation Baur, Musée des Arts d'Extrême-Orient, which is just a stone's throw away from the luxury Geneva hotel the Hotel d'Angleterre.

More than 9,000 pieces of art from China and Japan acquired by Swiss collector Alfred Baur are housed in this magnificent building.

There is a very special exhibition taking place until August showcasing pieces collected by Ambassador and Mrs Charles Muller.

An Ocean Odyssey, the Adventure of Chinese Ceramics contains various artefacts acquired by the pair displayed in a wider cultural context with navigational instruments, books and sculptures.

Various museums in Geneva have lent pieces to the exhibition, making it one of the most extensive collections of Far Eastern art on show today.

When the day is done, visitors can return to the Hotel d'Angleterre and enjoy the delights of the Luxury Weekend Break package.
