La Batie Festival is once again set to take over Geneva later this year, when performers from overseas and closer to home descend on the Swiss city for the annual celebration of drama, arts and dance.

The 2010 event is due to take place between September 3rd and September 18th, with more than 20 venues hosting events throughout the fortnight, according to What's on When.

A wide variety of genres will be on offer for those staying in the luxury Geneva hotel the Hotel d'Angleterre over the duration of the festival to enjoy, ranging from classical drama to contemporary dance productions.

And the ever-popular temporary bars - situated in old theatres or industrial buildings - will be once again opening their doors for the two-week period.

The event was originally held in the La Batie Forest, but it is testament to its popularity that organisers had to relocate from the original setting to the city.

And guests at the Hotel d'Angleterre will still have the opportunity to explore the cultural side to Geneva when there is a gap in the La Batie Festival schedule, as those who opt for its Arts & Culture package will receive complementary tickets to two of the city's museums.
