Event: Cinematou International Festival of Animated Film at the Cinema Titanium
Date: October 2nd - 10th
Animated films have always had an endearing appeal among both young and old alike and the recent success of movies like Pixar's Toy Story 3 and Up shows that demand is as strong as ever.
The focus is often placed on big-budget pictures, but there are a great number also being produced by small, independent filmmakers.
And guests planning a stay at luxury Geneva hotel Hotel d'Angleterre will be able to see the work of up-and-comers in the industry at this year's Cinematou International Animated Film Festival.
Taking place at the city's Cinema Titanium between October 2nd and 10th, the event will bring the best animated films from Switzerland and further afield to the big screen in a programme that is suitable for all ages.
Short Film Central notes the range of movies has been chosen to appeal to all age groups, with showings group by theme and audience age.
As well as screenings, the festival also features workshops focusing on image and film production, while attendees will also have the chance to meet with movie creators.
Over 100 films were screened to approximately 10,000 people in 2009 and organisers will be hoping for similar success this year.
Those who book the Arts and Culture package at Hotel d'Angleterre will also be able to explore some of Geneva's culture during their time in the city, as the offer includes a pair of tickets to two museums, with six attractions to choose from.
