The passion and intensity of Flamenco dancing will be on display in Switzerland later this year when a week-long festival celebrating the Spanish tradition takes place in Geneva.

Held at the Alhambra Theatre, the Flamenco Festival is now in its seventh year and is set to be attended by dancers and musicians from around the world who specialise in Flamenco moves.

Guests staying at luxury Geneva hotel the Hotel d'Angleterre will be able to take in six performances over five days at the Alhambra Theatre, along with one at the city's BFM, or Batiment des Forces Motrices.

The majority of the shows begin at 20:30 local time, meaning visitors will have plenty of time to explore Geneva and the surrounding area during the day, before heading to the venues to witness the talents of the dancers taking part.

Geneva has many cultural highlights for those enjoying a relaxing break in the city to take in and guests at the Hotel d'Angleterre who book its Arts & Culture package will be able to experience some of its highlights free of charge, as the offering includes a pair of tickets to two museums.

Among the six venues to choose from is the Musees d'Art et d'Histoire - one of seven sites around Switzerland that have a combined total of over 7,000 objects on display at any one time.

In addition to the tickets, the package includes a full buffet breakfast and a book depicting the beauty of the lakeside city.
