Film and television will come together in Geneva later this year at the 2010 Cinema Tous Ecrans.

The event, due to take place at various locations around the city from November 1st to 7th, focuses on new contemporary media and could give those staying at luxury Geneva hotel the Hotel d'Angleterre a chance to see some of the most exciting upcoming fictional works from filmmakers across Europe.

Competitions for the best work across a number of categories - including short films, movies for mobile phones and interactive multimedia fiction for the web - will be run over the course of the week and the public will also have the chance to get closer to the people behind the cameras through conferences, workshops and panel discussions.

The full programme for Cinema Tous Ecrans - which is now in its 16th year - will not be announced until the middle of October, however organisers have revealed this year will involve the use a new venue - Uptown Geneva - for the first time.

Formerly known as the Titanium movie theatre, the space will be used for the opening and closing ceremonies and, along with the Maison des Arts du Grutli, will host a number of screenings.

Guests staying at the Hotel d'Angleterre will be in an ideal location to enjoy the festival and those who book the Luxury Weekend Break package will receive a glass of Champagne to enjoy in their room upon arrival, as well as a buffet breakfast and four-course dinner in the hotel's Windows Restaurant.
