Geneva – gateway to some of the best Alpine skiing
Geneva makes the perfect starting point for a ski holiday, with excellent air, rail and road links. A night at the Hotel d’Angleterre is the perfect way to relax in luxurious accommodation after your journey, and we’ll be happy to organise a smooth transfer to the nearby Swiss ski resorts. Some of the very best ski areas in the Alps are within a couple of hours easy travelling from the hotel. We especially recommend:
Chamonix
(1040m - 3840m) - 82km | 1 hour from Hotel d'Angleterre
Set in a long deep valley, Chamonix attracts expert skiers from all over the world. The lift system offers the greatest vertical drop anywhere in the world, with a host of very challenging runs. There’s a wealth of off-piste skiing, including the awesome Valley Blanche that starts near the summit of Mont Blanc.

A collection of towns and villages (including Morgins, Avoriaz, Morzine and Les Gets) linked by an extensive lift system that straddles the border between France and Switzerland. So called because it has its own micro-climate that gets exceptional snowfall, but lots of sun.
