    A legendary figure in the hotel world, Jacques has made use of his 40 years experience in the hospitality industry, from Switzerland to America and Asia, to build a superb team at the Hotel d’Angleterre. A band of 85 consummate professionals, who provide the best service a hotel can offer and to whom over 70% of the hotel’s guests return over and over again.

    Executive Assistant Manager - F&B Jean-Vital Domezon

    For Jean-Vital, being a manager in the hospitality industry is one of life’s most rewarding occupations, because no day is like any other. “Every stay – from the time of booking, spending a night in one of our unique rooms, sharing a drink in our bar with friends and enjoying the delights of our restaurant, to the moment of departure – is different, and involves so many members of his staff. It’s like a huge puzzle bringing a wonderful hotel picture to life! Together as a team, we are proud to use all our skills and experience to anticipate and satisfy our guests’ needs.     Now at the Hotel d’Angleterre for over five years, Isabelle’s 20 years of experience in the Luxury Hotel industry have made a massive contribution to the success of the hotel. Isabelle compares her role to that of an ambassador: “I represent the know-how of a dedicated team, and the excellence of our service, to the outside world. Every day brings a new challenge, every day is unique: that’s why the hotel business is a fascinating, passion-driven world”.
  • Front Office Manager Gilles Oggier

    Gilles has worked in the hospitality industry from the age of 17, listing on his CV some of the most famous hotels in Bern, Lausanne and Geneva. Since joining the Hotel d’Angleterre in 1995 his aim, working with the reservations and reception team, is “to ensure that every guest receives the very best welcome and service”. With over 70% of his visitors returning to the hotel, he appears to be fulfilling this ambition superbly.

    Some years ago, I was born and grew up near Geneva…After spending 18 years working in luxury hotels in the south of France, I have decided to come back and choose this wonderful address in Geneva. With exceptional service I will have the pleasure to welcome you here at the Hotel d'Angleterre. As you will discover soon,  the sun is always bright in Geneva.

  • Banquet Manager Corinne DeCelles

    Corinne joined the Hotel d'Angleterre in 2002, having been working in fine hotels since 1990. Initially employed as assistant to the Director of Sales, she was rapidly promoted to her current position where she has overseen a significant increase in the scope of her role, in which, as everywhere in the hotel, service is paramount. “Fulfilling – and exceeding whenever possible – guests’ expectations is always our priority.”
  • Maitre d' Sonia Mathy & Bastien Peyraud

    Maitre d' of our restaurant Windows, Sonia has been taking care of diners, and remembering the individual preferences and foibles of her regular guests, since 2001. If you’re looking for the best table in the restaurant, or having trouble making up your mind about which dish to select from the extensive menu, Sonia will be on hand to give you expert advice and make sure your meal is perfect.
  • Head Chef Philippe Audonnet

    Philippe’s illustrious career has taken him through many prestigious kitchens, including Taillevent, Guy de Savoy, Girardet, the Eden Rock in Antibes and the Ritz in Paris, each of them contributing to the development of his unique and inspirational cuisine. He has led his loyal team at the Hotel d’Angleterre since 1998, preparing and serving dishes with all the style, technique, and finesse expected by the most demanding gourmets.
  • Head Barman Valter Soster

    The place to be in Geneva, for a trendy aperitif or after-dinner drink, with live music. Valter, our head barman, who has worked in numerous European palaces, decided to bring his passion and his good Italian mood in our famous bar. His team and himself are keen to welcome and to take care of our estimated guests, offering from a classic drink to the most original cocktails. The personalized service, provided by all the team will convince you to become a regular guest. That's what makes the difference at the Leopard bar.
  • General House Keeper Suzanne Bideaud

    After attending hotel school and working in various prestigious establishments in Geneva – among them the Richemond, Les Bergues and the President – Suzanne took up the reins of the housekeeping department of the Hotel D'Angleterre in 1998. Since then she and her team have been taking expert care of guests, ensuring that no detail, however small, disturbs their comfort during their stay.
