The threat posed by climate change and the need to preserve natural resources are some of the most important issues facing us today. At Hotel d’Angleterre, we are keenly aware of our responsibility to confront these problems head-on, and have instituted a Green Team to investigate and implement the ways we can contribute to this global process.
We are committed to our community and dedicated to social responsibility. Supporting local charities, conservation, preservation, nature, heritage and green initiatives including the personal development of each member of the Red Carnation team, is at the heart of everything we do. Examples of these include ‘Les Etablissements publics pour l’intégration (EPI)’ which support people suffering from an addiction or from a handicap with skilled work and one of their schemes involves recycling candles.
Supporting our Local Community
At Hotel d’Angleterre we always support our local community wherever possible, but we are now going one step further by supporting talented refugee chefs and promoting their food culture. In collaboration with the UNHCR the Refugee Food Festival helps refugee chef’s to showcase their cuisine as guest chefs in hotels and restaurants. The aim is to help those refugees to find a new position in their host country. We will open our kitchen to a refugee Chef who will take you on a culinary journey to his home country. Profits are donated to charity.
