Set on Geneva’s most prestigious waterfront address, Le 17 Restaurant takes its name from Quai du Mont-Blanc, a location synonymous with timeless beauty, sweeping lake views and the majesty of the Alps beyond. Here, at the heart of Hotel d’Angleterre, a beloved dining room has been thoughtfully reimagined. Lighter, more relaxed, and infused with a new energy that feels both contemporary and deeply rooted in place.

Floor-to-ceiling views stretch across Lake Léman toward Mont Blanc, forming a dramatic backdrop to a dining experience inspired by fire and flame. At the centre of Le 17 is the Josper grill, where carefully sourced, seasonal ingredients are cooked over open heat, unlocking depth, character and purity of flavour. This elemental approach shapes the menu and the mood; honest, confident and quietly captivating.

Lunch at Le 17 is relaxed yet refined. Ingredient-driven dishes, vibrant salads, delicate lake fish and beautifully executed classics are designed for an unhurried midday escape, complemented by a selection of light grilled plates that reflect the kitchen’s philosophy of clarity and balance.

As evening falls, the focus shifts decisively to the fire. Prime Swiss beef, exceptional meats, seasonal vegetables and pristine fish, are transformed over the grill, finished with subtle smokiness and caramelised complexity that speaks to both craft and restraint.

Led by Executive Chef Alexandre Cardiga, the kitchen brings together technical precision and a genuine respect for outstanding produce. Alexandre Cardiga

After being Sous-Chef for five years, Alexandre now proudly expresses his culinary creativity as Executive Chef at Le 17. His imaginative dishes perfectly compliment the classic cuisine of Madame Beatrice Tollman, founder of Red Carnation Hotels. Alexandre showcases world cuisine made up of regional products, inspired by sharing and the moments he encountered during his many travels.
